Crock Pot Italian Chicken

Crock Pot Italian Chicken
The original recipe is 4 to 6 chicken breasts, 1 Italian dressing seasoning packet, 1 tsp minced garlic, 1/2 cup chicken broth, 1 can cream of 'something' soup. Then before serving you mix in 1 package of light cream cheese (can use 1/2 package if trying to save calories) and serve over whole wheat pasta or rice, but...

Since I've been eating no dairy or soy, I've made it quite a few times without the cream soup or cream cheese and it makes a really nice italian chicken breast. I'll make 6 breasts at a time and serve it over whole wheat pasta, have some for leftovers, shred it for salads, etc.

I highly recommend the recipe either way. So good!

Can anybody fill me in on this packet of Italian dry seasoning? What is that!? I 've looked all around in the sauce packet section of Schnucks and Dierbergs and can't find it. A ton of recipes call for it. UGH

Look in the salad dressing aisle. It's usually on the top shelf next to the ranch seasoning packets. :good:
